In 1972 Billy Nilson and Tage Uhlin started a company called Tubinova with the intention to market new innovative products. Shortly thereafter a cooperation was established between Tubinova and KemaNobel and the company Kenova was created.
KemaNobel got the total ownership of Kenova at 1975 and was the owner until 1984 when it was sold back to Billy Nilson. Kenova then changed name to Cenova and the company started with injection moulding and assembly of complete products.
Cenova was acquired in 1994 by the Switzerland-based Gepe Group which included e.g. Sterisol in Vadstena. In 1998 Cenova moved into the current premises in Mjölby close to the highway E4.
In 2000 the company Pharma Plastic AB was acquired by Cenova . Pharma Plastic included several injection moulding and thermoforming machines.
