Project with XVIVO Perfusion AB

One year ago, we started a project together with XVIVO Perfusion AB to setup a manufacturing process for the XVIVO Liver Assist Perfusion Set. The project included several injection molding and thermo forming tools. The project also scoped new materials and a variety of different assembly techniques such as heat sealing and UV gluing. The aim was to finish the project and be ready for serial lunch in 2024.

• One year to go from zero to release for serial manufacturing in this field, with a product with this complexity is not just difficult, it is close to impossible, says Johannes Kask, managing the project from Cenova side.

But it was possible, and it is just another evidence that working close together with the customer / product owner and using Cenovas long history of bringing medical devices to the market is just another success story.

• It would not have been possible without the people involved. It is not just from a competence perspective but is positive attitude and a willingness to do the impossible, key attributes that is a foundation for all staff at Cenova, says Johannes.
